The obligatory trip to Vegas with friends during your 20s is something you’ll remember for the rest of your life. We’re here to help you do it up right!
Fly in a Helicopter
Nothing says ballin’ quite like a Las Vegas Strip Helicopter Tour. Snap a few selfies hundreds of feet above the neon Strip during the Vegas Nights tour and you’ll be Instagram famous in no time. Imagine yourself and five of your closest friends soaring high above the Strip aboard a luxury helicopter, taking in all the iconic sights for which this city is known. See the fountains of Bellagio, the Luxor Sky Beam, Fremont Street and Stratosphere. You’ll feel like you’re in a Calvin Harris music video. The complimentary transportation will scoop you up from your Strip hotel and take you back after your flight. You’ll also enjoy a glass of champagne while hanging out in our plush Las Vegas Boulevard terminal prior to your departure. It’s the only way to kick off a rock star weekend in Vegas.
Check Out the Top Clubs
Dancing the night away, enjoying a cocktail or four, and meeting new friends are absolute musts! You may think all Las Vegas nightlife is the same, but you’d be wrong. Each club, lounge and bar boast its own vibe, fancy cocktails and crowds. Poking around on the Internet will uncover some information about the venues to help you better decide which is right for your group. Maybe you want a rooftop scene with views of Las Vegas Boulevard. Clubs such as Marquee and Drais are great options. Maybe you’d prefer to kick it poolside, frozen daiquiri in hand, at one of the city’s many Dayclubs. Check out our list of the Top 10 Dayclubs in Vegas for more on Vegas’ popular daytime parties. The Strip and even Downtown Las Vegas have the swanky lounge or rowdy dive bar you’re looking for. Get out there and explore!
Obviously, you’ll want to be open to whatever crazy Vegas escapades roll your way, but be sure to have a rough itinerary for the evening and set a rendezvous point to use in case the group gets separated. There are a number of companies in Las Vegas that specialize in taking groups from club to club, but as long as you pack a pair of flats in your purse, the walk from one venue to another is always a good time. You’ll save some cash and definitely have a more memorable experience. Safety is a major key, so stick together, space out those drinks and stay hydrated.
Apps for the Win
There are a plethora of mobile apps you use on a weekly basis that are sure to enhance your Vegas experience or at least your Vegas experience that others see. When it comes to Instagram, filters such as X-Pro II, Rise and Amaro can do wonders with low-light selfies in the club. They help to boost colors and lighten darker photos. Facebook also offers a handful of filters when uploading photos. Both Facebook’s Summer and Fall filters brighten dark photos and highlight the colorful neon around you. Don’t think we forgot about the Snapchatters out there! Take full advantage of the club-specific filters. Most nightclubs on the Strip boast their own filters to apply to your snaps. Your followers will know just how lit your night was. For the die-hard shutterbugs in Vegas, a more serious photography app, such as VSCO, can take your Vegas-themed social media posts from run-of-the-mill to viral. The powerful photography app includes a handful of potent editing tools that are easy to use.
Turn Up for Your 21st
The treasured American tradition of making a pilgrimage to Las Vegas to celebrate a 21st birthday is alive and well. There is no better place to kick off your foray into actual adulthood than Sin City. From seeing a show to kicking it in a comfortable cabana, there is no shortage of ways to celebrate in style. One option to strongly consider is dinner at one of the nightclub restaurants. Yes, they’ve got restaurants, fancy ones worthy of a birthday reservation. Most nightclubs worth their salt, such as Tao and Hakkasan will work with smaller groups to bundle dinner and table packages for special events. You only turn 21 once, right?
Book an Off-Strip Hotel
Thanks to ride-sharing companies such as Uber and Lyft, staying off-Strip while still enjoying all Glitter Gulch has to offer has never been easier. Off-Strip is often less expensive and provides a comparable experience. There are a handful of Strip-quality resorts a block or two away from Las Vegas Boulevard that charge nearly half the price. These resorts still offer a number of great dining options, swimming pools, fabulous casinos, concerts and more. The money saved on the hotel room can be put toward more extracurricular activities like gambling or tipping the nightclub hostess.
