Vegas in July

Posted by Maverick Helicopters on Jul 2, 2017 10:17:00 AM

While every season offers something special, there truly is nothing like Las Vegas in July at the onset of summer. Those long, hot days are the perfect excuse for pool parties and even some outdoor adventures. When you tire of the outdoors, escape to the coolness inside some of the city's greatest casinos where you will laugh, applaud and wonder at the entertainment. The evenings are ideal for outdoor concerts with industry-leading DJs and Grammy-winning artists. In short, if you are booking a Vegas vacation for this July, you made a very, very good decision. The following is just a quick look at some of the exciting things waiting for you here in Glitter Gulch:

Las Vegas 4th of July
  • Pool parties

Nothing beats the Las Vegas pool party scene at the height of summer. Sunbathe underneath palm trees at the Bare Pool Lounge (aptly named). Enjoy the lazy river, saltwater pools, tricked-out bungalows and a stage full of entertainers at Wet Republic, or play blackjack at a swim-up table at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino's Rehab.
  • Blast-from-the-past concerts

This month is an ideal time for lovers of '90s and 2000s music. Mariah Carey will be performing six shows at Caesar's Palace, Ricky Martin will continue his artist residency at Monte Carlo, the Backstreet Boys are taking control of Planet Hollywood and Reba, Brooks & Dunn are back in Vegas with two shows planned at Caesar's Palace. Other top July music acts include Bruno Mars and George Strait (on separate nights) at T-Mobile Arena.
  • Fourth of July festivities

With Fourth of July happening on a Tuesday this year, you can expect partying to begin early. Throughout the weekend, there will be fireworks and red-white-and-blue themed cocktails galore.
  • Outdoor adventures

Yes, it gets hot between peak daytime hours (10 a.m.-4 p.m.), but our desert climate also enjoys cool morning and evening temperatures, ideal for outdoor activities. Check out nearby scenic hiking trails at Red Rock Canyon or enjoy a helicopter flight to the national beauty that is the Grand Canyon.

At Maverick Helicopters, we offer several amazing Las Vegas and Grand Canyon helicopter tours that allow visitors to enjoy incredible views of both. Here, you'll get to enjoy the sheer magnitude of natural wonders and see the region in unique and memorable ways not possible by foot, plane or car. Take, for instance, our Grand Canyon and Rafting Helicopter Tour, where not only will you enjoy bird’s-eye views of the city and Grand Canyon, but you'll also get up-close-and-personal with the Hoover Dam and Black Canyon while rafting down the Colorado River.
