If you’re looking for a serene afternoon in a quiet, shady cabana at a Las Vegas pool, look elsewhere. If you’re in the market for scantily-clad co-eds, raucous disc jockeys and all the trappings of spring break in Las Vegas, you’d do well to read on. The Vegas dayclub scene is a lot like its nightclub scene but with more sunshine, chlorine and fruit in your drinks. There’s also a lot less clothing. We’re here to help guide your party efforts and ranked the top dayclubs in Las Vegas. In other words, we’ve done the legwork, so you can show off your legs.
10. GO Pool
Hours: Daily 9 a.m.–6 p.m.
Flamingo, the Strip’s oldest surviving resident, recently took a new approach to pool life. While the property’s pool has always featured dense tropical landscaping, exotic wildlife and beautiful, waterfall-veiled grottos, it wasn’t until recently that Bugsy Siegel’s old digs introduced its very own dayclub, Flamingo GO Pool. They checked off most of the dayclub requirements: luxury cabanas with bottle service, rotating resident DJs, poolside gaming and a whole lotta house and hip-hop. It’s one of the more affordable options on this list, yet it still delivers the spring break party in Las Vegas atmosphere in a central-Strip location with an isolated tropical feel.
9. Ditch Fridays
Hours: Fri. 12 p.m.–6 p.m.
If you like your pool parties with a little more hip-hop and a little less EDM, Ditch Fridays at the Palms Pool is the way to go. Easily one of the wildest pool parties in Las Vegas, seemingly the only rule of Ditch Fridays is to expect the unexpected. The naughty inflatables and lawn flamingo beer bongs should tell you that this is a rowdy crowd. The three bars and 27 private cabanas mean there is plenty of space for party animals. Private cabana rentals net you a flatscreen television, your own sound system, plush furniture all to yourself and a personal cabana host. If that sounds a little too rich for your blood, the daybeds and padded lounge chairs offer comfort and personal space without the bells and whistles. Admission starts at $10 for ladies and $20 for gentlemen.
Hours: Thu.–Sun. 11 a.m.–6 p.m.
Compared to more intimate Las Vegas dayclub settings like Liquid Pool or Tao Beach, Daylight at Mandalay Bay is massive. The music festival setup boasts a huge stage with lasers and pyrotechnics that rival Electric Daisy Carnival [http://www.maverickhelicopter.com/electric-daisy-carnival.aspx]. Add in big names such as Metro Boomin and Bass Jackers, and you’re all but guaranteed to have an unforgettable day. This is one Vegas club that does bottle service right. Starting at a modest $500, you and your friends get a VIP table and a dedicated server for the entire afternoon. Also included is a premium bottle of booze and instant access to the dayclub. You’re too important for lines.
7. Liquid Pool
Hours: Wed.–Sun. 11 a.m.–6 p.m.
Upscale and beyond chic, Liquid Pool at Aria offers a similar upbeat party vibe as the other Vegas pool parties on this list in much friendlier confines. If Daylight is Dodger Stadium, think of Liquid Pool as Wrigley Field. About two dozen pairs of very comfortable chaise lounges and around 20 luxurious daybeds ring the small, shallow pool. An ample bar and a handful of palatial private cabanas as technologically advanced as Aria’s hotel rooms top off the truly hip setting. Do yourself a favor and order a pitcher of the bar’s fresh mojitos from one of the bikini sporting pool attendants. We recommend the coconut and ginger version.
6. Tao Beach
Hours: Thu.–Sun. 11:30 a.m.–6 p.m.
The original “beachclub” in Vegas, Tao Beach is located on the roof of the famed nightclub of the same name. The small pool seems almost an afterthought once you see the mansion-like cabanas and large congregation of umbrella’d daybeds. Instead of the conventional ring of daybeds around the central pool, Tao Beach has grouped its together in a courtyard setting. This gives it the atmosphere of an Oktoberfest beer hall, but instead of beer and a polka band, it’s overpriced fruity cocktails and a dude with a laptop. Be on the lookout for piggy-back Champagne trains and the fish tacos. Admission to this pool party in Las Vegas starts at around $20 for men and $10 for women.
5. Marquee Dayclub Dome
Hours: 11 a.m.–6 p.m.
The Cosmopolitan’s Marquee Dayclub is the only one of the many pool parties in Las Vegas to remain open year round thanks to its spacious dome. Think of it as Bio-Dome meets The Hangover. It’s all EDM all the time at this pool party. The joint is well known for its yearly “Halfway to EDC” blowout that always features some of the most celebrated electronic DJs in the world. Marquee Dayclub goes topless every year around mid-April when the dome comes off. You know what that means … sun’s out, guns out. Come for the loud repetitive music that hasn’t changed since the ‘90s, stay for the multitude of bars, two different pools and casino gaming area.
4. Drai’s Beachclub
Hours: Fri.–Sat. 11 a.m.–6 p.m.
Probably the most scenic venue on the list, Drai’s Beachclub’s second floor cabanas boast views of not only the elegant pool, but also the Eiffel Tower, fountains of Bellagio, City Center and the near universally recognizable architecture of Caesars Palace. The panoramic Strip vistas are courtesy of its rooftop location at The Cromwell, the sleek boutique hotel in the heart of Las Vegas Boulevard.
3. Wet Republic
Hours: Sat.–Sun. 11 a.m.–7 p.m.
MGM Grand’s Wet Republic is a must for the high rollers. This dayclub at the south end of the Strip offers arguably the most luxurious VIP experience of all the Las Vegas pool parties. Located a floor above all the action, the private bungalows offer king-sized daybeds, gorgeous teakwood furniture, massive flat-screen televisions, private whirlpool spas, controllable misting systems and your own private security detail. This one’s for the A-listers. For those who like to be in the heart of the party, you can reserve a table on the dance floor. These front row accommodations include bottle service, easy access to the pool and dance floor as well as the best views of the DJ booth in the joint. If you’re looking to mix it up with the groundlings, there’s always room in the pool, all of which contain saltwater by the way. Jump on in! The water’s fine.
Hours: Fri.–Sun. 11 a.m.–7 p.m.
The granddaddy of them all, the infamous Rehab at Hard Rock should really be considered 1B to Encore Beach Club’s 1A on this list, but we know you appreciate decisiveness. If you’re into champagne squirt guns, bikini tug of war and heart-pounding dance music, you’re ready for Rehab. There’s never a dull moment thanks to regular events such as Heroes of Rehab, when guests are encouraged to dress as superheroes, and the annual Bikini Invitational College Edition, when college girls are encouraged to … well, you get the idea. There’s also a slew of daybeds and cabanas for rent throughout the lagoon inspired facility. The best part about Rehab is the party doesn’t stop even when you take a plunge. The fancy underwater sound system pumps chlorinated beats from the DJ booth straight into the water.
1. Encore Beach Club
Hours: Fri.–Sun. 11 a.m.–7 p.m.
Remember that time when the Prince of Whales got a slap on the wrist from ol’ Elizabeth for partying a little too hard in Sin City? That’ll happen when you party at Encore Beach Club. Yep, Harry’s shenanigans at Las Vegas’ preeminent dayclub ended up all over international media. But it’s hard to blame the then 27-year-old considering that Encore Beach Club has been named Las Vegas Dayclub of the Year in Nightclub & Bar’s Top 100 list (we’re told that’s a big deal). Big name acts such as David Guetta, Diplo, Major Lazer and The Chainsmokers regularly spin you-shoulda-been-there sets. The eight private bungalows at this oasis come standard with a private bathroom, infinity dipping pool and a balcony overlooking the Las Vegas Strip. You can imagine how things might get a little crazy.
